It connects all the major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Cochin, Chennai, etc. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railways’ famous toy train service start at New Jalpaiguri and will get you to Darjeeling in about 7 hours. 

The nearest airport is Bagdogra, near Siliguri. Cabs are easily available from Bagdogra to Darjeeling. It takes about 3 hours to reach Darjeeling from Bagdogra airport.
